Hosting a movie night is always a lot of fun, especially when it is combined with some great food. At Hog Roast Woolwich, we have plenty of different menus that are perfect for the occasion, including a variety of delicious buffets. Here is just one option you could enjoy this summer…

For her daughter’s birthday, Carla planned to host a movie night at her home. She had purchased a projector to show the movie on a blank wall, which would be great for creating a cinema-like atmosphere at home. As well as the movie, Carla hired Hog Roast Woolwich to cater for the occasion with one of our delicious buffet options. Fifteen children and their parents had been invited to the event, so we needed to provide a menu that had plenty for guests of all ages to enjoy. Our Gourmet BBQ menu is perfect for this, and Carla agreed that it sounded ideal for this occasion.

On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Woolwich team arrived at the private venue in the afternoon and set up our catering station in the garden. We started our prep with the main dishes, which included succulent pork sausages, juicy British beef burgers, halloumi and vegetable skewers, marinated chicken kebabs, and BBQ spareribs. Once ready, these dishes were served in fresh bread rolls or a gluten-free alternative. Additionally, we served homemade chips, sweet potato fries, gourmet coleslaw, creamy mac and cheese, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. We served the menu buffet style, allowing the guests to line up at our catering station and choose their dishes. This was ideal since it allowed everyone to create a delicious meal from what we had to offer. Our catering was a great addition to the party and there was more than enough to go around, including plenty for seconds!
