Hog Roast Horns Green is wedding ready

Congratulations is in order for Joe and Chrissy. They got married last week, despite the miserable weather they had a lovely day. Hog Roast Horns Green had responsibility of the whole catering package, starting with lush canapés, to their wedding breakfast and evening reception food.

Hog Roast Horns GreenTo begin, Hog Roast Horns Green served Joe and Chrissy’s welcome drinks alongside a variety of tasty canapés. Joe and Chrissy had decided on Prosecco as their welcome drink and for children orange juice, a classic choice. For their canapé selection they had gone with the smoked salmon, gourmet sausage, fillet of beef and the fish and chip canapé. The smoked salmon and fillet of beef  especially complimented the Prosecco. The honey and mustard coated sausages seemed the favourite with the guests this time.

After Joe and Chrissy had finished their photo’s, they were ready for their wedding breakfast. First they needed to cut the cake so that Hog Roast Horns Green had the time to cut this up and dress it with fresh berries and cream for dessert.

For the wedding breakfast, Hog Roast Horns Green served a whole-roasted pig and sirloin beef. The beef was cooked with a hint of pink just as the groom and bride liked it. The tender and moist meats were served with roasted new potatoes that had been infused with garlic and rosemary, classic Caesar salad with toasted ciabatta croutons, Italian cherry tomato and mozzarella salad and a simple but nice mixed salad. What a feast.

Once dessert had been enjoyed, the speeches began. Hog Roast Horns Green used this time to make up the evening buffet. They made a selection of sandwiches such as egg mayonnaise, chicken salad, and cheese and pickle. They also used up the leftover meat from the wedding breakfast to make beef with a dash of horseradish sandwiches and pulled pork and stuffing with a touch of mayonnaise for moisture.

Hog Roast Horns GreenTo accompany the sandwiches, Hog Roast Horns Green created a flavourful antipasti board and a cheeseboard with grapes, chutneys and dried apricots. There was a fresh fruit platter, variety of crisps and nibbles such as chicken satay sticks and pork pies. A buffet full of variety which was enjoyed thoroughly by the wedding party and guests.
