Hog Roast Chigwell Having The Pleasure Of Being Part Of A Memorable Event

At Hog Roast Chigwell, we are renowned for cooking a mean hog roast, and our team members always go the extra mile to ensure that our customers are well looked after. Nevertheless, we are well-known for much more than hog roasts, though they are our speciality of course, and it may be useful for you to know that we can provide plenty of additional and alternative options, regardless of the type of function that you are organising…

Hog Roast ChigwellYou may be planning your wedding and you’re thinking of various courses served to your guests at their tables but you’d like welcome drinks and canapés as they arrive. You may instead be thinking of an informal get-together in your back garden, with us simply making you a pile of pigs in buns for a handful of friends and family. We can do either and so much more in-between, so whatever you’re thinking of, Hog Roast Chigwell can do you and your guests proud, no matter the personal tastes or even special diets that may need catering, though sometimes the simple choice is the right choice.

When Julian called Hog Roast Chigwell a few weeks ago, it was to book us in for a private party at his home, where he was surprising his girlfriend Anna by proposing on her birthday. Since enjoying one of our hog roasts over the summer, Anna had not stopped talking about the mouthwatering meat we had prepared and cooked on-site and then served as pigs in buns, with meaty morsels and crunchy crackling crammed into bread rolls, topped with our own tangy apple sauce and our own yummy sage and onion stuffing, and then finished off with a bit of brown sauce. We always provide condiments when we cater as sometimes that’s the icing on the cake that makes our pigs in buns even more perfect.

On the day of Anna’s birthday, our team arrived five hours before food service, so we could start prepping the meat and then we set it to roast slowly for ages. By the time it was done, we had sliced the bread rolls, dished up the sauces and stuffing, prepared some garden-fresh salads and even had a sneak peek at the ring. Once everyone had their fill of gorgeous food, we quietly cleared away and then Julian got down on one knee…. and we’re happy to report that she said yes!
