Get In The Festive Spirit With Hog Roast Ilford

If you’re planning a Christmas party, such as one with family and friends or a staff do, doing the catering yourself can be fairly stressful and give you little to no time with your guests. If you let Hog Roast Ilford take the reins this Christmastime, you can sit back and relax together with them instead, enjoying tasty, wholesome food and top-notch service, and we’re sure you’ll be glad that there’s no washing up to do at the end of the party as well!

Hog Roast IlfordWhen it comes to the food that Hog Roast Ilford prepares, cooks and serves for our customers and their guests, we have an array of dishes to suit all kinds of personal tastes, appetites and special diets but in the Christmas season, we also serve our festive menu. This fantastic menu gives you and your guests a choice of mains, so you could be feasting on a slowly-roasted free-range hog, whole turkeys or a homemade vegetarian option of Portobello mushroom and halloumi burgers, along with yummy sides of seasonal vegetables, cauliflower cheese, roasted potatoes with garlic and rosemary, pigs in blankets and our special gravy, and you even get a dessert included, of traditional mince pies and brandy cream.

Another great menu that we offer at this time of year is our winter warmer, which gives you a choice of main, your choice of vegetables and potatoes, and all the trimmings you know and love. For a milestone birthday that we catered over the weekend for our long-term customer Lydia, we were asked to serve a hog roast winter warmer, where we produced piles of succulent meat and crunchy crackling after roasting a medium-sized hog for several hours. When we make one of our famous hog roasts, we lovingly prepare it beforehand and then watch over it as it sizzles away, and it creates wonderful aromas and is a sight to behold, let alone tastes amazing.

On the day of the party our Hog Roast Ilford chef and catering assistants also freshly prepared and cooked new potatoes with herbs, sweetcorn, Brussels and carrots, made our homemade trio of onion gravy, stuffing and apple sauce and by 5pm, the queues began and we satisfied all of the hungry guests.
